Our FITTskills series of comprehensive international business courses teaches you the competencies you need for a competitive career in global trade. The competencies developed by completing the entire FITTskills program and earning the FITT Diploma in International Trade meet one of the eligibility requirements for the elite Certified International Trade Professional (CITP®|FIBP®) designation for those applying through Pathway 1 (FITT Diploma). The workshops cover the same material as the courses, but are divided into smaller sections for those interested in completing specific sections on their own or to focus on learning the material one topic at a time.

The FITTskills online courses are completely self-led; you are not taught by an instructor. You will use your course eBook and online learning resources to complete the course at your own pace and in the way that works best with your schedule.

Whatever works for you! If you prefer to receive your training in-person with other students, and if your schedule permits you to attend in-class courses, then the programs offered by our FITTskills Delivery and FITT-accredited Partners are a great option.

However, if you’re a busy working professional and you need a more flexible global business training solution that enables you to register for the topic you want at any time, and then learn from anywhere and at your own pace, our popular online courses might be just what you’re looking for.

FITT offers flexible online training for a team, department or the entire organization, which means organizations get the benefit of bulk discounts and team members get the flexibility to take one course/workshop individually at a time, at their own pace. Organizations can purchase training codes online for 10 or more courses/workshops as needed. Company discounts range from 10% off to 33% off, depending on how many courses or workshops you pre-pay for at once.

Once you’ve pre-paid, you’ll receive instructions and a set of pre-paid training codes. Distribute your codes as desired and your colleagues or employees will have a minimum of 6 months from your organization’s date of purchase to redeem them online to start FITTskills online training.

We generally recommend taking the courses in the order listed on our online courses page, starting with Feasibility of International Trade. But there is not a required order for FITTskills courses and workshops.

The courses and workshops are self-paced, so the time required will vary from person to person depending on how you study, your pre-existing knowledge of the course or workshop material, and other factors. We generally estimate it will take 30-45 hours to complete a course if you are completely new to international trade, or closer to 15-20 hours if you already have 2 or more years of experience. Similarly, we estimate it will take 10-15 hours to complete a workshop if you are completely new to international trade, or closer to 5-8 hours if you already have 2 or more years of experience.
